Advanced 1-Wire Master with Memory #DS2485

DS28E18 Setup Guide for Remote I 2 C and SPI Sensors Featuring the DS2485 It is well established that the I 2 C and SPI communication protocols are designed to be used in short-distance, intra-board communication. This application note discusses the I 2 C and SPI bus extending capabilities of the DS28E18 1-Wire ® to I 2 C/SPI Bridge with Command Sequencer. Specifically, it covers important measures for setting up a long line, e.g., 100m communication with multiple I 2 C and SPI sensors and the benefits of using this device. Introduction The I 2 C and SPI communication protocols are well known to have short bus distances that range no more than a couple meters. Although solutions currently exist for extending these ranges, they are often complex and expensive. The DS28E18 , however, is a cost-efficient bridge-chip device that demonstrates the benefits of using the 1-Wire interface to get the most range out of complex I 2 C and SPI devices such as environmental sensors,...

Flexible, #4 mA-to-20 mA, #Loop-Powered Pressure Sensor Transmitter with Voltage or Current Drive

The design provides a complete solution for the 4 mA-to-20 mA transmitter for #pressure sensor measurements where the supply for the entire circuit is provided by the loop. The circuit has three critical stages: the sensor excitation drive, sensor output amplifier, and the voltage to current converter. The total current required by the circuit is 1.82 mA (maximum) as shown in Table 1. Pressure sensors requiring bridge drive currents of up to 2 mA can therefore be used without exceeding the maximum available loop current of 4 mA. ‹ › ...

AK7451 – MAGNETIC ANGLE SENSOR

AKM Semiconductor's AK7451 is a 12-bit magnetic rotational angle sensor which detects the angular position of a magnetic field parallel to the IC surface with high speed tracking (up to 20,000 rpm). The contactless angle sensor can be made by the simple construction of a small magnet and this sensor.  This magnetic rotary angle sensor detects rotation speed and rotation angles by measuring the intensity of a magnetic field with the combination of magnets parallel to the IC.            The AK7451 is able to output up to eight-pole UVW phases that improve versatility, realizing rotor position detection in DC brushless motor-driven operation without Hall ICs installation.                       The expansion of the ABZ phase output resolution setting from four types to 16 types enhances motor control usability. These key features enable the sensor to be used for more varied types...

CT415,XtremeSense® TMR Ultra-Low Noise, 1% Total Error Current Sensor

The CT415 is a high bandwidth and ultra-low noise integrated contact current sensor that uses Crocus Technology’s patented XtremeSense® TMR technology to enable high accuracy current measurements for many consumer, enterprise, and industrial applications. It supports eight (8) current ranges where the integrated current carrying conductor (CCC) will handle up to 65 A of current and generates a current measurement as a linear analog output voltage. It achieves a total output error of about ±1.0% full-scale (FS). It has about a 300 ns output response time while the current consumption is about 6.0 mA and is immune to common mode fields. The CT415 has a filter function to reduce the noise on the output pin. The CT415 is offered in an industry standard 8-lead SOIC package that is “green” and RoHS compliant. Isolated Current Sensor with 1 MHz Bandwidth and better than 1% accuracy. The high speed operation and accurate output allow customers to optimize system design for smaller siz...
